This Privacy Policy describes how MFH, LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the crwl mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you consent to this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account details. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), profile photo, and any other information you choose to provide.
- Content. We store the posts, notes, photos, messages, and other content you submit.
- Contacts. If you grant access to your contacts, we use the data solely to help you find friends who already use the app. Contacts never leave your device unless you explicitly invite someone.
- Age and BAC confirmations. When you acknowledge the age gate and BAC disclaimer, we store your confirmation, the terms/disclaimer version, app/build version, timestamp, and related consent metadata for compliance.
Automatically Collected Information
- Usage data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including the features you use, in-app navigation, and timestamps.
- Device information. We may collect device model, operating system, unique identifiers, crash reports, and app version to maintain and improve the Service.
- Location data. With your permission we collect precise or approximate location information to power features such as live session tracking, maps, and location history. You can control location sharing in your device settings.
- Push notification tokens. We store device tokens to deliver notifications you opt into.
- Compliance logs. We may record IP address, device identifiers, and other technical context when you submit required consents, for audit and security purposes.
Information from Third Parties
If you sign in with Google, Apple, or other third-party services, we receive basic profile information in accordance with their terms.
How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service, including personalized features.
- Verify eligibility (21+ or legal drinking age), enforce BAC gating, and maintain consent records.
- Facilitate social features such as friend discovery and group sessions.
- Notify you about activity, updates, and support messages.
- Monitor usage trends, analyze performance, and detect/prevent fraud or abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
How We Share Information
- With other users. When you post content or join sessions, your display name, photo, and related details are visible to other participants.
- With service providers. We use trusted vendors (e.g., Firebase, Google Cloud, Apple) for hosting, analytics, mapping, and notifications. These providers access data only to perform contracted services.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MFH, LLC, our users, or others.
- During business transfers. If we explore or complete a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred to the new entity subject to this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell personal information.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting support@mfh.dev. We may retain limited information, including consent records, as required by law or legitimate business purposes.
Your Choices
- Account settings. You can update profile information or delete content in the app.
- Location and notifications. Manage permissions through your device settings.
- Email or push preferences. Opt out of marketing messages via the unsubscribe link or in-app settings.
Children
The Service is intended for individuals 21 years of age or older (or the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we learn that someone under the legal drinking age is using the Service or has provided personal information, we will delete the account and related data.
BAC Estimates & Safety Notice
BAC values shown in the app are estimates only and may be inaccurate. They must not be used to decide whether to drive or for medical or legal purposes. Never drink and drive. See the Legal Terms for details.
Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your state or country. We take steps to ensure data is treated in accordance with applicable law wherever it is processed.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Your continued use of the Service after updates take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
